Ok, so this could end up being rather long, and if you're just looking at my page and don't follow me like gospel then you might not understand what I'm talking about, if you want to, have a look back at my previous journal pages and you should get the jist pretty quickly, or you might actually have been at Destination Star Trek London at Excel London last weekend, and if so, I hope you had as good a time as I did! So, for Amierion, Tarimearo, DeathLife97 and totofan4ever, this is the account I promised to give! Enjoy and hope you don't get bored!
Well, getting there was kind of easy seeing as I already live in London, so it was really a matter of hopping on a couple of tubes and soon I was there. For those of you who don't know what Excel London looks like, it's HUGE, there was at least three other events going on in the building at the time that I didn't even know about because it's so big. Doors opened at 2pm and the crowds flooded in, actually getting into the convention didn't take very long because the line was directed around the edge of the room opposite so we just walked round and were filtered in without really stopping. I knew there would be tons of people there, but I wasn't really prepared for JUST how many there was, and I'd say at least half of them were in costumes of some kind or other, it looked like the set of one of the Star Trek films! It made me laugh how loads of people were sat around tables in the cafes outside the convention talking and eating really normally even though they had things like Borg costumes and Admirals uniforms on! I have a few photos that I'll put on really soon, promise!
The first thing I really did upon getting into the convention was going to the ticket office so I could get a photo ticket with Brent Spiner (which I did!!!) and that took quite a while right after I went to the Klingon bar to get a drink, they called the drink I bought 'Blood Wine' (Klingon themed, obviously) it was a mix of Bacardi, cranberry juice and Vodka... I think. Inside the bar they had two guys dressed up as Klingons that you could go have your photo with. The room itself was MASSIVE (and for , the colour of the floor was blue!).
I had a few hours to kill before I went for my photo with Brent Spiner so I had a stroll around... and ended up spending over £100! Although to be fair I did buy a lot of stuff with it, I have a photo of everything I bought that I'll put on as well! I really wanted a comm badge but they were £45 so there was NO way I was getting one of them! Because I'd bought the weekend pass I got a free goody bag with two signed photos by Neelix and a couple of other things, so I went to collect that, and by that time it was already time for my photo!
I didn't have to wait long in line but I must admit I got quite nervous! Well, I was going to see a childhood icon, it was a big thing! Brent Spiner was really nice (obviously!) and I wish I'd gotten a bit longer to talk to him, he had a chain around his neck with a ring on, so I asked him what it was and he said "Oh, this is a very magical necklace, give me your glasses" so I gave him my glasses and he put it through the chain and he was like "See! Told you! This awesome necklace can carry glasses!" and I really couldn't help but laugh, half excitment, and half because he was just so funny!

Ok, I'm going to make this into a 2-parter because I have paperwork to do! Sorry if this is really boring, I'm just trying to remember and type it down in the most interesting way at the same time!

FEED ME!!
A little reminder that my askbox is always open, you can give me a prompt, a request, or whatever else for a fanfiction and I will write it for you, whether you're on anon or not. I write for:
Sherlock (I'm not too partial to Johnlock but I will do it)
Star Trek TOS and TNG
Doctor Who
Les Miserables (especially Valjean/Javert)
Harry Potter (I'll give it a try)
My OTPs are Spock/McCoy, Q/Picard and Valjean/Javert so if you share any of these, I plea extra extra hard that you'll leave me a request… Just think, the fic you've always wanted and I'll write it for you!
PLEASE!?
Happy Birthday DeForest Kelley!
A great man, yet another to be taken away by cancer. I'm sure anybody who's been on my profile knows how much I love him! He was an amazing actor and an amazing writer, and it's one of my biggest regrets that I never got to meet him.
Happy Birthday DeForest, one of my favourite men of all time!
So I Just Wanted To Say...
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS TRAILER PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I SWEAR TO GOD IT'S GONNA BREAK THE INTERNET.
I'm Convention-Hungry, Guys!
So after all these weeks I'm still having withdrawal symptoms from Destination Star Trek London, so I'm asking everybody who's reading this for some help! Does anybody know of any convention coming up in 2013 in the UK for Doctor Who, Star Trek or Sherlock (omg do they even have Sherlock conventions they'd be AMAZING)? Please! Just give me the name and I'll google it myself and everything, come on guys!
Or if you don't want to do that, give me a prompt or something for a Star Trek (TOS or TNG) or Sherlock fanfic.
Come on, you know you want to!
